Nienover è una contrada della città di Bodenfelde, in Bassa Sassonia. Immerso in una foresta di querce secolari, il nucleo abitativo è costituito da poche case rurali, sparse ai piedi di un’altura su cui sorge un castello, circondato dai resti interrati di un notevole centro medievale. Degli scavi archeologici non si vede più nulla, a parte il corpo ricostruito di un mulino ad acqua, che ha l’aria di un fantasma addormentato, che nei finesettimana si sveglia, apre il sipario e si mette al lavoro teatrale, a beneficio di pochi visitatori. La zona è attraversata dal torrente Reiherbach, affluente del Weser generato da due ruscelli che a loro volta si chiamano tutti e due Reiherbach, in una curiosa economia di nomi. Nel 1971, alimentato dalle acque del Reiherbach, fu realizzato uno stagno che rimpiazzava un altro stagno storico adiacente, i cui argini avevano ceduto. Il nuovo stagno fu intitolato a Carolina di Brandeburgo-Ansbach, illuminata consorte di Giorgio II di Hannover, re di Gran Bretagna e Irlanda, originaria di queste zone e formatasi alla corte di Sofia Carlotta di Hannover, la “regina-filosofa” amica di Leibniz.
Alla fine dell’estate, lo stagno di Carolina appare ricoperto interamente da una coltre di alghe di un verde brillante e psichedelico. Qua e là poche ninfee, e una placida popolazione di anatre impegnate a fare avanti e indietro solcando il verde con segmenti diritti, la cui evidenza dura un tempo minimo.
In questo contesto di stratificazioni, scambi, fondali occultati, succedanei di storie rimosse, croste di muschi e pappette di cellule vegetali, si svolge la lettura dei Paragrafi sull’armonia, di Michele Zaffarano. Nienover is a district of the city of Bodenfelde, in Lower Saxony. Immersed in a forest of centuries-old oaks, the residential nucleus consists of a few rural houses, scattered at the foot of a hill on which a castle stands, surrounded by the underground remains of a remarkable medieval center. Nothing is seen of the archaeological excavations, apart from the reconstructed body of a water mill, which looks just like a sleeping ghost, waking up on weekends and opening the curtain of this theater, for the benefit of a few visitors. The area is crossed by the Reiherbach stream, a tributary of the Weser river, generated by two streams that are both called Reiherbach, in a curious economy of names. In 1971, fed by the waters of the Reiherbach, a pond was built to replace another adjacent historic pond, whose banks had collapsed. The new pond was named after Carolina of Brandenburg-Ansbach, enlightened consort of George II of Hanover, king of Great Britain and Ireland, a native of these areas and trained at the court of Sofia Charlotte of Hanover, the “queen-philosopher” friend of Leibniz . At the end of the summer, Carolina’s pond appears to be covered entirely in a blanket of bright, psychedelic green algae. Here and there a few water lilies, and a placid population of ducks busy going back and forth crossing the green with straight segments, the evidence of which lasts a minimum of time.
In this context of stratifications, exchanges, hidden backdrops, substitutes for removed stories, crusts of mosses and porridges of plant cells, the reading of the Paragrafi sull’armonia by Michele Zaffarano takes place.
